Is Westbrook Taking Over the Leauge?
February 17, 2017
Russell Westbrook is dominating the league. He has developed over his nine year NBA career. He’s already one of the most known faces in the league!
Westbrook has played with the Oklahoma City Thunder for his whole career. Before this season he was one half of an amazing duo with Kevin Durant. This past offseason Durant chose to join Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, Draymond Green, Andre Iguodala, and the rest of the Golden State Warriors. Once Durant left him, Westbrook wanted to prove something.
He has 27 triple doubles this season! That’s crazy! He is now one of the best point guards in the league, even better than Curry. Curry has zero triple doubles this season.
A triple double is when you score at least double digit numbers in at least three categories like points, steals, blocks, assists, and rebounds.
Russell averages 30.9 points, 10.5 rebounds, and 10.2 assists per game. He’s averaging a triple double every game! Curry averages 25.6 points, 4.3 rebounds per game, and 6.4 assists per game
Westbrook wasn’t always the person he is today. He’s a bit more on the shy side when he played college ball at UCLA. When one of his best friends died Westbrook wanted to keep his legacy going so he started to be the hyped up player he is today. His best friend was all about energy. When he passed away Westbrook started to change his personality and became the player he is today.

I also agree that Westbrook could in fact be the best player of all time, and definitely has a future ahead of him. I like how you’re very specific on explaining the games and things in it. I don’t know if the players you’ve listed are good, but I’m pretty sure you know what you are doing.

I think this was a great blog. I like the amazing adventures that Westbrook is on in the games.

I think Westbrook is a great player and he is probably gonna be one of the best all time. I think he is the reason why the Thunder are winning games and he should be the MVP. I really like your story, great job!

He’s not better than Steph Curry! 😉

I respectfully disagree, Ms. Kee. Only Oscar Robertson averaged triple-doubles an entire season. Also, Westbrook does not have the luxury of playing with three other NBA all-stars like Curry does. He does it all. GO THUNDER!
Yes, I realize the Thunder like most NBA teams do not have much of a chance against the Warriors. Regardless, the Bulls and Thunder are my teams.

No, Ms. Kee, Steph Curry is not better than Russell Westbrook. He is so overrated. He CAN’T play defense and I mean CAN’T!
