Cydelle Tovar, Writer

I love art because it is very therapeutic and calming, there’s a lot to do in art, and it can be whatever you want it to be. Art is so calming and therapeutic to me. I can be having the absolute worst day and then just start painting on a canvas and it’ll be like I wasn’t upset at all. Also, when I say ‘painting on a canvas’, I usually mean just slapping paint on a canvas and then trying to make something out of it. Which leads me to my next topic.

You can use anything to make art. And my type of art is like painting and drawing and stuff like that. The supplies that I use are mainly paints. Acrylic to be exact. I recently painted with oil paints that I got and I’m not sure how I feel about them. But you can use them and have your own thoughts about them. Although, a con about oil paints is they are expensive. Just a heads up.

Another thing about art is that it can mean many things depending on who you ask. Art can be making music, drawing, painting, writing, etc. I mean you can literally throw ketchup, mustard, and syrup on a canvas and call it abstract art (I did that for a project haha). As long as it’s art to you, It’s art.
