This universe started on May 2, 2008 with the first Iron Man movie, and it has continued to change and evolve and it’s still going on today. So far there have been 26 total movies and 5 total shows. All of the movies are connected in some way and they all have combined to create this cinematic universe. This movie universe started with Iron Man and it has gone all the way to the Eternals which was released November 5, 2021. The Eternals introduced a whole new group of people to the universe and I’m sure they will continue to reappear in the future.

Speaking of the future, this movie-verse isn’t over yet as there have been multiple confirmed movies and Disney+ shows as far away as 2024. There have been multiple confirmed Disney+ shows that feature new characters and also some reappearing characters that are set to release within the next 3 years.

The next project that is about to be released is the very hyped up movie called Spider-Man No Way Home. This movie has hundreds of fan theories about what people think will happen. The trailer showed villains from previous marvel Spider-Man films, but those movies were made before the MCU was. This leads fans to speculate that the Spider-Men from those movies might make an appearance.

This franchise has so much potential for the future as they have barely used all of the possible characters from the comics and they can continue to build upon the already used characters in unique and ambitious ways.
