One of the biggest debates in the world’s history is who is better, Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo. Today I will try to solve this debate that separates people into 3 groups.

People who think Messi is the GOAT, those who think Ronaldo is the best soccer player, and those who rate them the same. This will be a battle of 3 rounds.

First, let’s start with who has more scored goals. In this round we see Messi with an astonishing 791 goals but then here comes Ronaldo surpassing Messi with a total of 819 goals. We can firmly say that Ronaldo won this round.

Second round, who has more Ballon d’Ors? On this one we see Ronaldo with a surprising 5 Ballon d’Ors but then here comes Messi with 7 Ballon d’Ors in the past 10 years. (edit: Messi now has 8 Ballon d’Ors.)

Third round and final one. By the time I’m writing this none of them has won the World Cup which in my opinion will finish the argument of who is the real GOAT.

By the time I’m writing this Argentina has reached the Final which I predict will be against France, and Argentina will end up winning the World Cup giving Messi the definite evidence to prove he is THE REAL GOAT (Greatest Of All Time).

Even though Messi shows with his skill that he is one of the best soccer players of all time. Ronaldo has also gotten a lot of awards because of his skills so he will probably be in the top 5 best soccer players of all time. Just not on top of Messi.

Today I’ll try to list the top 5 soccer players of all time from best to worst and my reasons for why.

Number 1: Pele

He won the World Cup 3 times, something no one has done before. He played as a centre forward.

Number 2: Messi

Messi has just won the World Cup which was the only way Maradona overpassed him, but now that Messi won we can easily say he is better than Maradona. His main position was as a forward centre.

Number 3: Maradona

Maradona was one of the best soccer players in Argentina and won 1 World Cup, He mostly played as a midfielder.

Number 4: Ronaldinho

He’s well known for his unique skills and way of playing and also for winning many prizes. He made really unique passing skills. He was a midfielder.

Number 5: Cristiano Ronaldo

He plays as a centre forward and I think he is almost at the level of Messi just think Messi is slightly better because he doesn’t only play really well but also makes his teammates play well.
