Pablo Picasso and Vincent van Gogh

Today’s topic is Famous artists and their art. You probably heard of Pablo Picasso. Pablo’s style was Cubism. Cubism was an artistic style pioneered by Picasso and his friend and fellow painter Georges Braque. His most famous painting was called “Guernica.” Guernica is not only Picasso’s best-known work, it’s one of the most famous paintings he made. He was born on October 25, 1881 and died on April 8, 1973. Picasso started figure drawing and oil painting lessons with his painter father when he was 7 years old. By the age of nine, he’d finished his first painting. Next is Vincent van Gogh. Vincent van Gogh was a post-Impressionist painter whose work. Often referred to as the ‘Mad Artist,’ van Gogh is today regarded as one of the most popular Post-impressionist painters. His most famous painting is called “Sunflowers.” The first series, executed in Paris in 1887, depicts the flowers lying on the ground, while the second set, made a year later in Arles, shows a bouquet of sunflowers in a vase. He was born on March 30, 1853 and died on July 29, 1890. Vincent van Gogh didn’t start painting until he was 27 or 28, but his oeuvre included nearly 900 works
