Many people waited dreadfully for Drake’s album to drop. He had at least 2 release dates that “confirmed” his drop of the album. But none of them dropped until October 6th, 2023. People rushed to listen to this album, stayed up late nights, but was it worth it?
Drake’s album was liked by many people, but some thought it was overhyped. I am going to be giving you my honest opinion on 3 of the songs in this album.
VIRGINIA’S BEACH
This song is about Drake who seems to address a woman he wants to be with, crafting the song into a heartfelt conversation.
My honest opinion about this song, it was not the best. I am gonna rate it a 7 out of 10, because the lyrics were good and had a good meaning, but the instruments were not the best so it didn’t go together well.
AMEN (Ft. Teezo Touchdown)
This song is describing a conversation with God and touches on themes of gratitude, love, and faith.
My honest opinion about this song, it is a bad song. It has a powerful message but it is not good. The beat kind of makes it decent but the lyrics and instruments do not go well together.
IDGAF (Ft. Yeat)
This song is about Yeat speaks about his nonchalant-like personality.
My honest opinion about this song is, Yeat carried the song. It was pretty much Yeat (Ft Drake). When Drake popped in it made it better but it sounded off. The background of this song is inspiring, and good.
In Conclusion
This album was for sure over hyped and was not really worth the wait. There are only 4 to 5 songs in this album out of the 23 songs. I am disappointed in Drakes album, unfortunately it was not worth the wait.
