The Future of the Chicago Bears
The Chicago Bears are currently not the greatest team in the NFL, but they do have a bright future. The Chicago Bears have the Carolina Panthers’ 1st overall pick in the 2024 draft. The Panthers currently have the least amount of wins this season, meaning the Bears will get the first overall pick allowing us to get Marvin Harrison Jr. If the Chicago Bears get Marvin Harrison Jr. and we sign o-line men, the Bears offense would be unstoppable.
Currently, I think the Bears coaches aren’t the best, so I would try to hire better ones during the offseason and allow them to draft the best possible players in the 2024 NFL draft. The Chicago Bears currently have a lot of cap space and with new coaches, they will be able to smartly sign players to reasonable contracts, making the Bears as good as they can be. A lot of people are saying the Bears should get rid of Justin Fields, but I disagree with them and I think if we give him more weapons on offense, like Marivin Harrison Jr. and some more decent O-line men, Justin Fields would do just fine.
Now when it comes to the defense, the Chicago Bears don’t need as much help as on the offense, but hiring a new defensive coordinator would help out a bunch. With all of these changes, the new Chicago Bears will be better than ever, hopefully winning their division and making a run in the playoffs. That is what I think the Chicago Bears should do to have the best future they could have.
The History of the Chicago Bears
The Chicago Bears might not be the best right now, but they have had times they were very good. The Chicago Bears were founded in 1920 and was the second team to join the NFL behind the Cardinals. The Bears played in their first Super Bowl in 1986 (Super Bowl XX). They played the Patriots, beating them 46-10, winning the championship The reason the Bears had such a good season was for Walter Payton, some people say he is the best running back ever to play in the NFL. Another reason why they were so good was because of their defense. Some people believe that the Chicago Bears 1886 defense was the best defense ever.
The Super Bowl the Bears won in 1986 wasn’t the only Super Bowl they have played. In 2007 the Bears played in the Super Bowl vs the Colts. To start the game, Devin Hester, the Bears star player, returned the opening kick off for an early lead. But that didn’t last long. The Bears lost 29-17 making the Super Bowl win in 1986 their only Super Bowl win in franchise history. The Bears might not be the greatest right now, but they have a great history.
