I believe that technology can help impact sports for the better

Firstly, I want to talk about the placement of where the football was down, and using technology you can get the exact spot of the ball being downed. The way they do it currently is the referee spots the ball where they see the ball being downed or the team can challenge the call for a better look at where it was spotted. Using technology inside the football can be great to see where it was, and technology where the player was first downed. This can save the team from using challenges and saving them for later in the game down the stretch.

To add to that, Wilson Sporting Goods Co is developing and has prototypes of an airless basketball. It will be 3d printed by using elastomeric polymer to make the basketball that does not need to be inflated with a very close weight to an actual basketball. Some people do complain about it having holes and getting rocks in the ball but, indoor it is perfect for the NBA or other indoor basketball leagues. Because NBA balls could be a little under or over-inflated but the ball that they are making at Wilson Sporting Goods Co can not be under or over-inflated.

In conclusion, that’s how technology can help sports leagues like the NFL, NBA, and more.

 Why North American sports teams don’t need to expand to other countries

I believe that North American based teams don’t necessarily need to expand their leagues to other countries in order to maintain their popularity, and fanbases.

Firstly, I think the reason why North American based teams don’t need to relocate to other countries is because the players can get very fatigued due to long plane rides to far places in a short time span. Let’s say the NBA expands to certain parts of Europe And you need to fly from Sacramento to a city in Europe in a time span of 2 days. Let’s say it takes 12 hours from Sacramento to Europe that is a full half of a day all in the air which will make the home team in Europe have a big advantage for the game. To add onto that the home team from Europre will be flying back and forth from Europe to North America that’s why it would not fit for the NBA.

But you might argue that the NBA is really unlikely or totally impossible due to the fact that the game time is 2-1 a day of time in between games, same thing with the MLB but way worse with it being mostly one day differences. But, you may say what about the NFL the time between games is usually 7 but could be shortened  or longer depending on if it is a MNF or a TNF game. Although the NFL could make this a reality but there are some difficulties to make this happen first a lot of people in Europe prefer European football more so it might be difficult to get an audience. Second, trading from a North American team to a team from a different country will be difficult with the player having to learn a whole new language or way of living depending on what expansion teams are added.

In conclusion I don’t think that any main sports team from North America should expand to any other countries.
