Best Future teams
I will be telling you my top 5 teams who will be title contenders in a couple of years. Coming in 5th we have the Detroit Pistons. The Pistons have a crazy amount of potential and a good amount of draft picks, but since they’re so bad right now they are only at 5.
Next at 4 is the Orlando Magic. They have a lot of young talent with Paolo Banchro and Franz Wagner. They also are the 8th seed which gives them a jump start to their young players still progressing. With Anthony Black recently playing well their future looks bright.
Next 3rd is the San Antonio Spurs. They have a very young team and have a lot of draft picks. They also have the best prospect since LeBron James in Victor Wembanyama who is already leading the league in blocks.
Next at 2 is the Sacramento Kings. They have a very young team with De’Aaron Fox and Domantas Sabonis being only 26 and 27. They are also 5th in the Western Conference and some of their young players haven’t even reached the best they could be.
Number 1 on the list is the Oklahoma City Thunder. They have an all NBA talent in Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and they have a rookie of the year contender in Chet Holmgren. Not to mention the crazy amount of draft picks they have.
Best Defenders Lineup
Next I’m going to build an NBA team with the best defenders in the league. At point guard I have Alex Caruso. He is one of the best defenders in the league and he is the best defending point in the league.
Next at shooting guard I have OG Anunoby. He just got traded this year to the Knicks and didn’t stop his defense. He is a defensive player of the year candidate and I think he’s the best defending shooting guard in the league.
At small forward I have Kawhi Leonard. He has recently turned up his game with playing more games and playing like finals MVP Kawhi. When he played Lebron in the finals he was only 22 years old and gave him the most problems that any player has given Lebron.
At the power forward I have Victor Wembayama. I know he is a center but, at the start of the season he played the four. He is in the lineup because he leads the league in blocks as a rookie on minute restrictions. If he gets normal minutes like a starter he may average 4 blocks a game.
Last, at center I have Rudy Gobert. He has won several defensive player of the year and the only thing that slowed him down was his age. He is still one of the best rim defender in the league and even with being older he still is going to be a good defender.
