2016-17 Year in Review
May 25, 2017
Adrian
A 7th grade student sadly passed away. He was one of my best friends. We had many memories here.
Basketball
Basketball was fun this year. All of the athletes had an extremely good season.
Constitution Test
It’s the biggest test of the year and you only get three tries to pass.
Dog
The nurse brought a dog to school for therapy training. It’s nice to see a cute big dog when we leave for the day.
Everybody Learning
This year was full of lots of exciting lessons. We all learned a ton.
Falling Down
I fell down the stairs. I was lucky nobody was there.
Great Time in Multimedia Tools
I had a great time in the class. It was fun making the reviews and documentary. When you go into Mr. Kanter’s class you will love it.
Hanging with Friends During Lunch
Lunch is fun. It’s nice to see all of your friends because you may not see any of them during class.
Incredible Sports Program at CS
Sports range from soccer in the fall to track in the spring. The coaches know how to push their players to get them to give full effort while still having fun.
Jamming at School Dances
The school dances are so much fun to attend. Jamming and dancing to your favorite songs with your friends is always fun.
Kickin’ 2017-18 Off
New classes will arrive in August and we’re super excited.
Look at the New Students
It’s fun to see incoming 6th grade students. We can’t wait to see what you do here.
Magnificent Mondays
We loved Principal Pilut’s funny morning announcements. He’d do alliteration for each day of the week.
No Homework
During the ABC Countdown there’s a day without homework. It’s really nice so people can enjoy their day. However, you need teacher approval.
Oh sad!
Two teachers are retiring at the end of the year, Mr. Hernandez (H) and Ms. Jorgenson. They will be missed.
Participation
Students joined many clubs, played many sports, and volunteered around the community.
Questions
I had many questions in Mr. Kanter’s class. He answers them very well.
Running
The last week of school students run around finishing work, going on field trips, and participating in the softball tournament. In P.E. students have to run a miles or can escape with a $5 donation.
Soccer
Even though we didn’t get first place, soccer was fun this season. It’s the best sport.
Two Thousand Seventeen
Wow! This year zoomed by. It’s sad to see it ending.
Unusual Day for Sandburg Students
On May 22, Sandburg students had an amazing time at the softball tournament. They were outside the whole day except lunch. There were many things to do like dunk teachers, play softball, walk loops to enter a raffle, and all the money is for a good cause (diabetes).
Volleyball
I joined the CSMS Volleyball team. It’s very enjoyable and I had tons of fun. We won the championship.
Waking Up
Honestly, it’s hard. It’s nothing personal. We just don’t like getting up at 7:00 AM.
Xcellent Teachers
We have wonderful caring teachers who love teaching us. Thank you for your hard work. We appreciate it.
Yule
Before the winter holiday break students participated in the volleyball tournament. It’s exciting and recent graduates return to watch the competition.
Zipping Out of School
The school year is coming to an end. We look forward to another year at CS. See you soon.
