Have you ever been watching Grey’s Anatomy and wondered who the amazing actors were? Well I’m here to tell you. Some of the most famous and most well known actors from Grey’s Anatomy are Ellen Pompeo (Meredith Grey), Patrick Dempsey (Derek Shepherd), Sandra Oh (Cristina Yang), Justin Chambers (Alex Karev), Katherine Heigl (Izzie Stevens), and T.R. Knight (George O’Malley). All of these characters are in the beginning of the show sadly many of them have left the show since. 

Some actors that have been in the show since season one are Ellen Pompeo (Meredith Grey), Chandra Wilson (Miranda Bailey), and James Pickens (Richard Webber). These three actors and actresses are seen in the pilot episode and the new season 17! And you might be thinking WOW 17 seasons that’s a lot. So here are some other well known actors and actresses that have been in Grey’s Anatomy are Eric Dane (Mark Sloan), Chyler Leigh (Lexie Grey), Jesse Williams (Jackson Avery), Sarah Drew (April Kepner), Jessica Capshaw (Arizona Robbins), Sara Ramirez (Callie Torres), Kate Walsh (Addison Montgomery), Kevin McKidd (Owen Hunt) and many more. 

Right now the cast of Grey’s Anatomy looks very different then it used to be. Some of the actors and actresses of this season are Ellen Pompeo (Meredith Grey), Chandra Wilson (Miranda Bailey), James Pickens (Richard Webber), Kevin McKidd (Owen Hunt), Jesse Williams (Jackson Avery), Caterina Scorsone (Amelia Shepherd), Camellia Luddington (Jo Wilson), Kelly McCreary (Maggie Pierce), Giacomo Gianniotti (Andrew Deluca), Kim Raver (Teddy Altman), Greg Germann (Tom Koracick), Jake Borelli (Levi Schmitt), Chris Carmack (Atticus Lincoln), and Richard Flood (Cormac Hayes).

Now with 17 seasons there’s bound to be actors and actresses who leave the show. Some of my favorite actors and actresses that have left are Chyler Leigh, Eric Dane, Sandra Oh, and Patrick Dempsey. In my opinion these were some of the best characters in the show. That’s why season 7 is one of my favorite seasons, because that’s when all these actors and actresses were in the show at the same time. Some of the other people I miss from the show are Jessica Capshaw, and Sara Ramirez. I really liked Jessica and her charter and how she had such a bubbly personality which showed really great on screen. I also loved Sara and how her character Callie was such a boss and never let others tell her who she could be.
