Future Diary (Mirai Nikki) was released back in 2011 and the manga being released in 2006. Yukiteru Amano is a regular plain high school student who was seen as an outcast and didn’t have many friends. To keep him entertained he would carry a diary in his cell phone about things he observed or witnessed every day. He is then entered into a survival game that is related to Yuki’s diary. There are other 12 diary users who have the power to see different types of futures (For example, an escape diary which can tell the user ways to escape from a situation). Whoever wins the survival game becomes the new god. Yuno Gasai, a school companion of Yuki who is also madly in love with him, is determined to do whatever it takes to protect him from any other diary users who might attack Yuki.

I think that Future Diary is a good starter anime for anyone who is interested in thriller, maybe romance(?), action or anyone who finished Danganronpa and is looking for an anime similar. I used to watch Future Diary for the intro and just for comfort too. Although I do think Yuno is crazy, I do feel bad for her background. I feel as if Yuno is the main attraction to the show as she’s the one who “manipulates” Yuki and causes the most problems. Rewatching it now I do realize that Future Diary wasn’t the best anime but honestly I think that it’s mediocre.
