Demon Slayer, or Kimetsu no yaiba, is a shounen action anime that has a manga series with 23 volumes starting in 2016. There is also an anime with 2 seasons, the second season is still in the process of coming out as of October 2021, as well as a movie that came out recently in April of 2021. 

The anime starts out with Tanjiro, saving his dying sister and finding out she is a demon. He then makes it his mission to turn his sister human again, so he becomes a demon slayer and fights demons in hopes to find a cure for his sister. The anime has 4 main protagonists which are Tanjiro Kamado, Nezuko Kamado, Zenitsu Agatsuma, and Inosuke Hashibira who are all demon slayers and trying to help Nezuko become human again. 

I have watched the whole anime and am up to date on the manga as well, and here are my reasons that it is my favorite anime and why you should watch it. First off, the plot in general is good because it has interesting action scenes and amazing animation quality. Second, the characters have very good designs and personalities/backstories, making them very likable and relatable as well. Another reason it is a good anime is because the intro is iconic, which for other people might not matter but personally for me I think if there’s a good intro, it can really bring up the anime’s quality and likability. 

Then we have the voice actors, the sub and dub are both very good, and I cant choose a favorite but there are definitely some voices that I prefer in dub or sub. For example Tanjiro I prefer in dub because his tone sounds good and accurate to his personality. Another example is Rengoku, which I prefer in sub because his voice is a lot more interesting in sub and has a carefree tone like his personality. These are a few of my reasons Demon Slayer is my favorite anime and why you should watch it too.
