Have you ever wondered what it was like to go back to school in person after a year of being remote? This blog post is going to be about what my experience was like going back to school in person after a year and having to wear masks to school. I would have never picture my 8th grade year this way. 

I feel like going  back to school was definitely different from what a normal school year would look like. I had to wear a mask on the bus which definitely felt different. But I get why we do have to wear a mask to keep everyone safe. When I got to school every grade level had a specific spot to go to wait for school to start. While I was waiting we only had 4 people per table. Another thing that was different was that in some classes I had to use hand sanitizer before you entered the classroom. I also got assigned seats right away for contact tracing. At lunch time it kinda sucked because they split us up by last name so I was not able to sit with all my friends like years past.  But i’m glad that for my last year at Carl Sandburg I got to be in person.
