When I was a kid I was always into arts and crafts. So because of that I guess the first time I saw my older sister doing her makeup I was hooked. I was 6 at the time so of course I couldn’t wear makeup, but that didn’t stop me from watching my sister do her makeup and watching makeup videos. I was 13 years old when I started to wear makeup. In my opinion nobody should start at a young age, so I waited until I was in my teens. When I was 13 and in that era I wasn’t a professional, nor the best at makeup. However as the days went on of practicing I would always see an improvement, and because of that I was never sad that I wasn’t good at makeup.

The thing that helped me not give up was my passion for makeup, and always seeing improvements. I notice that makeup isn’t just makeup. It’s a way to express yourself. That’s why I take so much pride in my makeup. But not only did makeup help me see how pretty I can be, it also helped me see how pretty I can be without it. I am very thankful for the journey makeup led me, and I’m so happy I didn’t give up.
