If you did not know my favorite baseball team is the yankees. If your number is retired it is to honor the person who wore it. Many people on many teams have had their number retired which means it can never be worn again on that team.

       There are many retired numbers from the yankees. There are actually 21 numbers that are retired. Many of them are the best players to play the games. Some retired numbers include no.2 Derek Jeter, no.3 Babe Ruth, and mickey mantle no.7. These are my favorite players.
