There are 30 basketball teams in the NBA. Basketball teams are divided into the following conferences, The Eastern Conference, The Western Conference. 

The Eastern Conference has teams from the Atlantic, Central, and the Southeast. Also the Western Conference has teams from the Northwest, the Pacific, and the Southwest. 

Some teams from the Western are the Golden State Warriors, and Los Angeles Lakers and The Dallas Mavericks. From the Eastern Side there are the Cleveland Cavaliers, and the Boston Celtics and many more. In my opinion Golden State is one of the best teams in the western conference but as to last season they were not good at all.
